Kristyn Echterling-Savage’s Curriculum Vita
Dr. Kristyn Echterling-Savage is a co-founder of Beyond the Dog, LLC. She received her Ph.D. in behavioral psychology at the University of Kansas. Dr. Echterling-Savage holds a master’s degree in behavior analysis and is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. She has presented at professional conferences and seminars throughout the United States.
Dr. Echterling-Savage serves as a consultant and is actively involved in research. As a consultant, she works with owners in reducing their dog’s problem behavior, focussing on empirically validated treatments. Her research interests involve developing interventions that help owners more effectively implement treatments.
Dr. Echterling-Savage currently lives in the Kansas City area where she continues to assist owners in building healthy, fulfilling relationships with their dogs. Kristyn shares her home with a Newfoundland, an American Bulldog, two cats, a Sulcata tortoise, and a Belgian horse.
